(Coimbra, Portugal, h. 1210 - Toledo, España, 1248). Sancho II Capelo. Rey de Portugal (1223-1248), hijo de Alfonso II. Sus constantes guerras (conquista definitiva del Alentejo y del Algarve), acrecentaron el poder de la nobleza. Fue depuesto por el papa Inocencio IV.
